Designed by BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, the museum spiral flanks the original workshop, established by Audemars Piguet’s founders in 1875, with a new all-glass structure, comprised of two spirals that seamlessly integrate into the existing landscape. The museum’s collection, which showcases some 300 timepieces, is displayed alongside two in-situ production workshops, creating a living museum. With a design that marries tradition and innovation, the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet offers visitors a unique opportunity to delve into the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux and explore how the brand’s timepieces, crafted in Le Brassus, have been raised around the world.

This project integrates the most technologically advanced offices, research laboratories, visitors and exhibition centers, and ancillary facilities, to build a world-class scientific research institute on the banks of Nanhu Lake in Yuhang District, Hangzhou.The project is located in the Nanhu Science Center District in Yuhang – the heart of Hangzhou city’s science and technology incubator triad, where a concentration of important, innovative projects are located. The site is also abounded with landscape resources and lush vegetation, surrounded by the Nanhu Wetland Park and the future DAMO Park Development.

ARBORETUM is Europe’s largest low-carbon office campus. Located only 15 minutes away from Paris’ city center, it offers 125,000sqm of offices and services built in solid wood, surrounding a 22 acres private park. Arboretum embodies the post-covid office by promoting a direct access to nature, starting with wooden interiors. It is the largest demonstrator of the protocol developed by WO2 advocating health and well-being at work : large office floors (up to 4,000sqm) with direct views on the park, visible through 2,5m high windows and 3,10m ceiling height, allowing natural light penetration and protected terraces at every floor.
BEST HEALTHCARE DEVELOPMENT

This category recognises any healthcare facility (hospital, clinic, nursing home, medical laboratory, etc.) that succeeds in creating an environment delivering high-quality patient care, by solving concerns a medical facility may have: aesthetic, urban, functional and sustainability.

The Project comprises design, construction, maintenance, and operation of a new integrated health campus in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. The Project Agreement (PA), signed main contract between the Ministry of Health (the Administration) and Istanbul PPP Sağlık Yatırım A.Ş. (the SPV). The Project is in İstanbul Province, and Gross Internal Floor Area of 1,019,693 m2. It comprises an integrated health campus with a total capacity of 2,682 beds. There is General Hospital, Paediatric Hospital, Women Diseases Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Neurology and Orthopaedic Science Hospital, Cardiovascular Diseases Hospital, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital and Psychiatry Hospital in the campus.

This award honours the most innovative newly-constructed hotel in terms of architecture and interior design, while also considering client well-being, services provided to guests, leisure and recreational facilities and environmental aspects.

Casa di Langa is focused on exclusive service, a genuine local experience and rigorous eco-sustainability. Native materials, local colours and regional vernacular reinterpreted in a contemporary way contribute to integrating the project seamlessly into its environment. The design proposes a monochromatic approach where stucco, brick and wood share the same deep red hue and contrast with horizontal surfaces in multiple textures of local grey granite. Surrounded by 42 ha of land (vineyards, hazelnut orchards, and forest), it offers 39 rooms & suites, a wellness centre, gym, outdoor pool, “bocce” pitch and a country villa for private events and receptions.

This category recognizes industrial distribution centres that integrate modern and innovative logistic facilities, maintenance, efficient work planning and implementation.

At the time, the largest pre-let deal in Europe. LCP developed a new Global Distribution Headquarters for the largest global luxury brands retailer, Kering. The sale of the building achieved record pricing in 2020, the year it completed. In addition, the building achieved LEED Platinum Environmental rating - the highest rated building in Europe, and incorporated one of the largest solar panel roof installations, utilising all roof space in addition to Geothermal heating wells.

Frederiksberg Allé 41 is home to a food and culture house including food stalls, workshops and cultural facilities with an apartment building and a green inner courtyard above. As the first of its kind in Denmark, the building itself is placed directly over and connected to an underground metro station providing a vibrant, covered entrance plaza for the station. As a mixed-use building covering commercial, residential, cultural, and infrastructural facilities, it completes a vacant corner site along one of the most historic boulevards in Copenhagen and is a social and cultural focal point in the neighborhood.

This category rewards office buildings and business parks that offer owners and users increased worker satisfaction and productivity, improved health, greater flexibility and enhanced energy and environmental performance of the workplace. The BNP Paribas Fortis Headquarters building is located exactly where it stood for the last 200 years. The new building follows again the original street alignment and makes reference both to the 12-m difference in height that separates Brussels’ "Ville Haute" from the "Ville Basse", and the existing building heights in the area. The use of existing basement areas as a seasonal heat store keeps the mechanical plant to a minimum. A series of vast curvilinear landscaped courtyards and a large atrium provide the 4,500 building’s users and the general public with high-quality spaces in the heart of Brussels.

This category focuses on how a building can have a second life through an important refurbishment, enlargement or transformation in order to meet new standards and new needs. Projects of any type (office, hotel, residential, retail, etc.) are welcome here.

With Astoria, 3XN unites new and old architecture in the heart of Stockholm. Located in Östermalm, Stockholm’s historic city centre, Astoriahuset and Nybrogatan 17 consists of a renovated multi-story building from 1873 and the construction of a new connected office building. The existing building, which previously housed offices and a cinema, has undergone a transformation that has brought the building back to its original function – residential apartments. Focus has been on uniting the existing with the new through form, materiality, and architectural details.
BEST RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT

This category celebrates new developments that provide the best housing opportunities, while adopting originality and aesthetics. An integrated urban design, as well as a smart-site planning, is important for the residential project to merge well with the wider community and surrounding neighbourhood.

Æbeløen’s 146 residences - comprising townhouses and apartment buildings - inhabit the last vacant plot in Aarhus’ historic Øgade neighbourhood adjacent to the city’s botanical garden. Designed around a cobblestoned shared street and green courtyards, the design emerges from an architectural “sampling” of the urban context creating a significant interpretation of the surrounding architecture. Social diversity is a central value in the project and Æbeløen is designed as a public “shared space” opening the neighbourhood to community-oriented life. Rainwater collection combined with green facades is a recreational visible element that create an urban habitat for plants, birds, and insects.

This category rewards the new shopping centre, retail park or factory outlet which succeeds in encouraging and retaining traffic, while offering a unique shopper experience through new technologies, services, customer loyalty programmes and architectural features that aim to increase footfall and customer satisfaction.

Located next to the historic Borough Market in the heart of London, the recently completed Borough Yards development of new retail streets, cultural galleries and commercial office space is urbane and welcoming. Borough Yards as a place, that resonates with the blended work/play lives of modern urbanites. SPPARC has created an architectural typology which started from the principle that there should be pedestrian lanes within the block linking the river to the historic market, through a series of connecting yard spaces and streets weaved through an impressive Victorian brick arched railway viaduct to optimise the public use and enjoyment.
