Here you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the competition. Browse the questions below for answers, and don't hesitate to contact us if you can't find what you're looking for.

THE COMPETITION

Select your category and fill out the pre-entry form. It's free and require only a few minutes.  We will inform you about the eligibility of your project by email. 

To enter in the competiton, your projects must be completed between 2023 - 2024. 
Except for Best new development (construction starting in 2023-2025), Best urban regeneration project (Project or one phase completed in 2024), Best conversion project and Best Urban Vision.

There is no limit on the number of submissions per company, and one entry can be sent in several categories as long as it meets all the eligibility requirements stipulated in the present rules and separate submissions are prepared.
Make sure to adjust your application to suit each category and don't just duplicate it. 

Once submitted, we will review your pre-entry form and let you know by email if your project is eligible.
This process may take up to 5 days. 

The pre-entry form to verify if your project is eligible is free. 

Once Entrants are judged eligible they must pay an entry fee of 1070* (+VAT 20%) for each project submitted.
Entry fees are not refundable, regardless of the results of the jury’s selection, the evolution of the Covid-19 situation or any other force majeure as the Awards ceremony will be held in any case, physically or virtually.
(* Except for the Best Urban Vision category)

The entry fees can be paid by credit card or by bank transfer. 
You can choose the payment option when filling the contract. 

The invoice for the entry fees will be issued and sent after reception of your signed contract.
Make sure to add the right contact and billing information as the invoice is sent automatically by using the completed information.

The jury will meet in January 2025  to review all the final entries and shortlist several finalists in each of the categories.

The jury can, in total independence, base its selection upon various and unlimited criteria such as:

  1. Originality of the concept
  2. Architectural qualities
  3. Environmental qualities Integration of the project in its environment and community
  4. Quality of the user experience
  5. Economic contribution

The finalists will be announced at the end of January during our press conference. 
The list will be available on our website. 

DURING THE CEREMONY

The final vote is made up of 40% by the public (MIPIM registered delegate) and 60% by the jury.
To help you boost the public visibility of your project, you can choose to take a "visibility booster package"

There are 2 different packages, PLATINIUM or GOLD, which will give you greater visibility on our website, mailings and the awards gallery, among other things. A detailled presentation will be send to all the finalists.

The MIPIM Awards ceremony is open to all MIPIM registered delagates.
There is no need to buy an extra ticket or to reserve seats. 

You cannot bring a plus one to the MIPIM Awards ceremony. Every attendees must be a MIPIM registered delegate with a valid pass. 
There is no special ticket only for the event. 

The results will be announced at the ceremony. Winners will not be notified in advance.

Finalists do not receive an entry pass to MIPIM.

If MIPIM is held physically, each finalist must be registered to MIPIM and send at least one official project representative to the MIPIM Awards ceremony to collect their award on stage shall they win.

AFTER THE CEREMONY

The MIPIM Awards ceremony is being filmed. The video will be uploaded a few days after the ceremony and the link will be display on the website
The photos will also be upload in our MIPIM photobank

All the finalists will receive a diploma of recognition of excellence signed by the President of the jury and the show director.
